The demand for regular further training represents an essential function for LTS. Principally LTS offers annual seminars on subjects such as languages, IT, personal competencies, personnel management and, of course, other tourism related themes. In addition LTS periodically holds courses on TIC-Web back office and back end software, as well as on the company Pro Data’s accounting and invoicing programme Ombis FIBU TV.
For each subject area there are courses and seminars aimed at beginners, experienced employees, managers and functionaries as well as accommodation providers which cover the entry and maintenance of data.
LTS considers further training to be very important as it is essential for maintaining the increasing quality requirements within the tourist industry. Each employee should be aiming to do two or three items of training each year. Currently tourism organisations can only distinguish themselves from other members and ensure long-term membership through high levels of competence and good specialist knowledge.
The annual seminar programme is developed in close collaboration with the Council of South Tyrol Tourism Directors. Previous seminars are also evaluated. Suggestions of new subjects to be covered are always welcome.
